Although I believe we should be celebrated and spoiled everyday of the year, it’s nice to have a day carved out just for us. Hope you have a fantastic Festa della Donna! I won’t go into detail about the origins of the day because Tui at Mental Mosaic and Michelle at Bleeding Espresso said it best.
A big thanks to everyone who commented and emailed me regarding my last post on my Italian struggles. It was one of those days where I just felt like my head would explode if I didn’t write about how I was really feeling. Your support means the world to me!

Happy International Women’s Day! I hope you’re being spoiled by hearing *no* Italian
Hey I thought I had a smiley at the end of that! Oh well, I’m smiling inside….
I hope your man brought you some lip balm to go with those mimosas. Your Twitter has been talking about your chapped lips for a while now!
Have a lovely weekend!
Happy women’s day! It’s my birthday too!
Hope you had a happy day.
Happy International Women’s Day! We went to Villa Torlonia yesterday (I recommend it) and it turns out that women got in free at all the museums in Rome for IWD! The (female) foetus and I appreciated that.
BTW - the “mimosa” is none other than the Australian national flower, the wattle! I always get a little thrill that this little Australian plant has made it so big over here.
Back at ya! I will definitely put Villa Torlonia on my list of things to see!-Jessica
