Rome has a series of interesting signs. Some point to nowhere and everywhere, and many thousands point to an obscure place called the Auditorium. But have you ever really looked at the signs for the BioParco? What is that striped animal? I know it is supposed to be a zebra but it’s more like a hippo with zebra stripes, or maybe a black and white rhino? A Zhino? A Zebrapotamus? There is something off about that giraffe too. Maybe it’s the big butt they put on it.

Speaking of butts, I saw this sign at a bar near the Trevi:

Paste Ass or Panini Ass? Anyone?

I think the animal sign single-handedly explains to all women why we should never have a photo taken in which we are cut off right at the thickest part of our thighs. Just *so* unflattering (even on a giraffe, so come on!).
I’ll have to pass on the asses, btw. I’ve got that covered, unfortunately
I so agree with you Sognatrice. There are too many unflattering photos of me out there for that very reason- *shudder*
Both of you are too funny today!!! hehe..
nice to have a laugh in the morning
Check out the backyard on that giraffe! Holy crap. Poor guy. I bet he even asked to have his photo retaken. What a shame.
Lol…so funny!
Not really related, but one of our little nephews is named Nicolas and he went through a phase where he kept shortening it to “Ass.” I never said anything, but it used to make me laugh sometimes.
Pasta ass, that’s awesome. Do you go to Engrish.com? They would love your picture!
hello!
ass. is the short form for assortiti. paste ass. means that they have many kind of pastries
Thanks for commenting Virginia, don’t worry I knew the real meaning, being that I am learning Italian (and married to one). It was the immature, silly side of me that made me laugh about it. But thanks for explaining it for people who don’t know Italian.
