I am always looking for places that have artisanal, organic gelato. They are hard to find but there is a good one on via di gracchi in Prati. The reason I am keen on organic is because then I am sure that there are no artificial colours are flavours. Most of the regular gelaterias (even the artisinal ones) use artificial colours. The key to knowing whether the gelato is truly free of artificial colours is to look at the colour of the pistacchio flavour. If it is kind of a bright green, the colour is artificial. Real pistacchio green is much more subdued.

this looks so good!! i love gelato. I dont remember going to many geleterias in roma only one near piazza navona and it had like millions of flavors. but it wasn’t incredible! eheh take care!

Funny how you mention Freddy in your other post..and there he is in the gelateria.. I think he was waiting for u to show up =)
Anyways, I really apreciate your advice and the time you took to give me some resoning and perspective on my dilemma. I’ve been keeping up with many of the Italy blogs and others for a while now and know that life abroad is definitely NOT a fairy tale by any means. And you’re right, if I ever do decide to move I have to go for the right reasons and take the good w/ the bad. P. just makes it seem like it’s something so simple and easy to do..so your comments are helpful and much appreciated. Grazie mille!!
