As some of you know I am an avid member of CouchSurfing. I have made amazing friends and had the best travel experiences, happened to meet my husband and it was all FREE! I stumbled upon this site last year when I was planning my 3 month European tour. I was working with under $2000 and hostels were too expensive. So in a heated moment I typed into Google “free accommodation” and that site popped up. I was stunned. I immediately made a profile and got to work. Soon I had couches lined up and my budget was intact. What started as a free place to stay turned into lifelong friendships. I feel so lucky. In Rome I CSed with my now husband and we totally hit it off in a friend way. When I went home I realized just how much he meant to me and then, well the rest is history. I know it sounds creepy hosting perfect strangers, but it is an experience I would never trade. Wanna see what it is all about?
